#ElluresInspiration: Speak Up #OCCUPYWALLSTREET

Speak up and judge fairly;
defend the rights of the poor and needy.”
Proverbs 31:9

The first few days of the Occupy Wall Street Protest received some media attention but for the most part the big outlets ignored or dismissed protesters. Hundreds of arrests later, Occupy Wall Street has turned into a national movement making it day 24 of the protest against economic inequality and corporate greed.

Proverbs discusses how important it is to defend the rights of the poor, needy and to judge fairly. Most importantly it encourages us to SPEAK UP for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Numbers not only do not lie, but they possess strength. Do not fall into the governments trap by being afraid or discouraged by violent police and military force. Remember, God will always arm us “with strength for battle and making our adversaries bow at our feet.”  He sets us free from enemies and exalts us above foes; from violent men he will rescued thee (2 Sam 22).  He makes nations great, and destroys them (Job 12:23) We are a nation that conspires and plots evil, but we as individuals have the right to judge what is fair and unfair. One day God may ask what did you do to make a difference? Therefore, I encourage you all to stand for something positive so that you will not fall for anything. Have a blessed Day

#OCCUPYWALLSTREET is a people powered movement for democracy that began in America on September 17 with an encampment in the financial district of New York City. Inspired by the Egyptian Tahrir Square uprising and the Spanish acampadas, we vow to end the monied corruption of our democracy
