#ElluresInspiration Patience vs Pride

Proverbs 19:11 A man’s wisdom gives him patience; it is to his glory to overlook an offense.

Ecclesiastes 7:8 The end of a matter is better than its beginning, and patience is better than pride. 9 Do not be quickly provoked in your spirit, for anger resides in the lap of fools. 14 When times are good, be happy; but when times are bad, consider: God has made the one as well as the other.

Lack Patience? At times I surely do! Sitting in traffic is one thing that has the ability to set me off. When I finally get through and realize there really wasn’t traffic, just rubber necking Sunday cruisers it totally adds to my frustration. Verily, there is no sense of getting upset about things we can not control. Picking your battles is key. We should never give anything the ability to have power over us if it is not of God.

Let us try our best not to be lead off the clif. Surely, we will live much longer and be less stressed. Nothing worth having will come without the test of commitment, faith, patience and endurance. Instead, consider your tests a high-end present from God. Remember, Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ Philippians 1:27-28
